Fight camp — app 03
Plan the camp. Make weight without the scramble.
Cutman maps your fight camp backward from weigh-in — so the cut is a plan, not a panic. Track your weight, count down the camp, and keep your opponent notes in one place.
What it does
Camp countdown
Set your weigh-in date and Cutman lays the camp out backward in dated milestones — camp start, two weeks out, fight week, the day before — each with what to be doing then.
Weight-cut timeline
Work backward from your weigh-in weight to today. See whether you’re on track, ahead, or need to talk to your coach — early, not the night before.
Daily check-ins
Log your morning weight in seconds, with a quick note if you want. A simple trend line tells you the truth no single morning does.
Opponent & corner notes
Keep tendencies, stance, and game-plan notes for your opponent, plus your own reminders, in one place you can actually find on fight week.
How it works
- 01
Enter your fight date and target weight. Cutman builds the camp timeline and a sensible weight trajectory to aim at.
- 02
Check in each morning — your weight, plus a quick note on how you feel. It takes seconds and builds the trend that matters.
- 03
Through camp, you see where you stand at a glance and bring real numbers to the people who keep you safe: your coach and your doctor.
Not for sale yet
Cutman is still in development.
It is built and in use, but not finished enough to put a price on. Rather than sell a rough version and patch it around you, it stays off the shelf until it earns one.
No date promised — it ships when it is good enough. Get in touch if you want to hear when it does.
Questions
Is this medical or nutrition advice?+
No — and this matters. Cutman is a planning and tracking tool, not a doctor, dietitian, or coach. Weight cutting carries real risk. Always work with qualified professionals and consult a doctor before cutting weight. Cutman helps you organise the plan you make with them.
Will it tell me how much to cut?+
No. It won’t prescribe a cut or push aggressive numbers. It helps you visualise and track a plan you and your coach set, and it’s built to flag when you’re off track so you can ask for help early.
Where does my data live?+
On your device. Cutman is local-first — your weight, your camp, your opponent notes never leave your phone. No account, no server.
What does it cost?+
Nothing — Cutman is free, the whole app. Open it in your browser and add it to your home screen; it works offline, no account. Try the live demo above first if you like.
The evidence
What the pacing is built on
A weight cut is where bad information gets dangerous, so Cutman labels which of its guidance is well-established and which is coaching consensus.
The “sustainable pace” read is coaching/practice consensus — no single trial fixes a safe percent-per-week, so we label it Tier C rather than overclaim. Rapid dehydration cuts carry real risk and need professional supervision.
Through a deficit, keeping protein high helps you hold onto muscle. That part isn’t opinion — it’s backed by a meta-analysis.

A systematic review, meta-analysis and meta-regression of the effect of protein supplementation on resistance training-induced gains in muscle mass and strength in healthy adults. Sleep is the other lever: it’s when you recover, and extending it improves reaction time and accuracy — exactly what a depleted fighter loses first.

Tiers mark how strong the evidence is — A (meta-analyses / RCTs), B (emerging), C (coaching practice, labelled, never dressed up as proven). The full method and bibliography live on the studio’s method page.
